Thumbs Up in Europe – with Exceptions
Most in the eight European countries surveyed this spring express confidence that Obama will do the right thing in world affairs and think that he should be re-elected. Residents of Greece, hard hit by the economic crisis, are among the least positive. Just 22% in Greece, for example, approve of how Obama has handled global economic problems.
The survey was conducted prior to the completion of the Republican nomination process, so the question did not mention GOP nominee Mitt Romney. Question read, “Would you like U.S. President Barack Obama to be re-elected or not?”
